The South East Caucus in the House of Representatives has called for outright cancellation of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, requesting that a new date be fixed for a fresh UTME examination across the country.
In a statement, Caucus leader, Igariwey Iduma Enwo on behalf of the South East lawmakers, lamented the 48-hour short notice for the resit examination ordered by JAMB which he says resulted in low turn out by already traumatized students.

The Caucus reiterates that students from five South East states were directly impacted by the technical glitch reported in the examination, while urging immediate suspension of those responsible for JAMB’s digital operations and examination logistics.
