South-East Governors Meets In Enugu, Applauds Security Agencies

The south-East governors has met in Enugu state, commending the numerous efforts of the various security agencies in ensuring peace and stability returns to the south-east region of Nigeria.

 

This they disclosed in a communique read by the Imo State Governor and chairman, South-East Governor’s forum, Sen. Hope Uzodimma on Thursday 10th August, 2023 during their meeting at the Enugu state Government House.

In attendance were the Enugu state Governor, Peter Mbah, Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, Abia Alex Otti, Ebonyi state Governor, Francis Nwifuru.

 

The forum also reiterated its commitment to forge ahead a common socio-economic and security cooperation via a summit coming up on a date to be announced soon.

The forum went further to label the perpetrators of insecurity in the region as dangerous criminals whom should not be allowed to be seen as legitimate agitators but dealt without mercy.

 

Gov. Uzodimma however cleared air on the pepertrators of insecurity on ground as he responds to the questions from the media while disassociating Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from such group who has been enforcing sit-at-home as Nnamdi Kanu has since disowned such evil group and plan, declaring not part of such nonprogressive plan.

 

At the end, the Governors promises continued efforts to ensure south-east remains liveable and progressive.
