Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo earlier today joined thousands of APGA supporters to canvass votes from Ogbaru Constituency.
Governor Soludo also used the opportunity to flagged off construction of Atani to Ozubulu road which is 11.37 kilometers with a bridge for the people
The road has a completion period of 18 months.
Speaking at the occasion, the Governor said: “what we have come for is to fulfill the promise we made during the campaigns.”
Speaking further, he said: “The first project we embarked was in Ogbaru.
“But I must make this point, you people should join to protect government infrastructure in your locality.
“One of the roads we awarded, the contractor mobilized to site but was disturbed and pursued away by youths. Even at that, it will be done”, the Governor emphasized
“You people told me that this road is strategic for Atani, that is why we are already on it. We want to do the road once and for all because Ogbaru deserves nothing but the best.”
“We are making a commitment to complete this road.
“For Ogwuikpele, Osamalla and the rest from where food is being evacuated, we will still get down there”, the Governor promised.
He appreciated the people of the area for voting for him, urging them to continue to support him the more by voting for all APGA candidates.
The Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ifeanyi Okoma stated that the Governor’s thought had always been to link Atani with Ozubulu.
“The height of the road is high due to the flood challenge usually experienced here”.
Engr. Okoma pointed out that the road has stone base and will be cement stabilized, guaranteed to last for 20 years and will be completed in 18 months.
Earlier, the Transition Committee Chairman for Ogbaru Council Area, Hon Paschal Anigbunam said that Governor Soludo is an action man, applauding the Governor for his vested interest in Ogbaru, even before Inception, as far back as 2010.

The APGA candidates for House of Representatives One and Two, Mr Arinze Awogu, House of Assembly Ogbaru 1 Constituency, House of Assembly Ogbaru 2 Constituency, Hon. Sir Linus Ezenwamma, Hon Emmanuel Uzonwanne, Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ifeanyi Okoma, his Information counterpart, Sir Paul Nwosu, the Transition Committee Chairman, Ogbaru Hon Paschal Anigbunam, Chief Protocol officer, Hon Chinedu among others, attended the flag-off ceremony which featured hand over of site certificate to the contractor.
