Anambra State Governor-elect, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo has sent a warm congratulatory message to former President Olusegun Obasanjo who clocked 85 years on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
In a statement released by Joe Anatune, Head of Soludo Media Office, Prof Chukwuma Soludo described Obasanjo as an embodiment of a true Nigerian.
He said Obasanjo represents the indefatigable spirit and unyielding resilience of a true Nigerian who is irrevocably committed to the unity, peace and economic growth of the nation.
Soludo further stated that having served under his administration as Nigerian President, Obasanjo he said remains a quintessential leader, peacemaker and a statesman of the first order who is globally recognised beyond the shores of Nigeria and the African continent.
He said his accomplishments during his administration as President of Nigeria between 1999 to 2007 is generally credited as the golden era in the nation’s economic growth.
The Governor-elect said he is filled with joy and happiness as he joins millions of compatriot Nigerians home and abroad to celebrate a great personality and Iconic leader like President Olusegun Obasanjo on his 85th birthday anniversary.
Soludo therefore wished the former President long life, good health and God’s abiding grace as he continues to render more selfless services to the nation and humanity.
Obasanjo born 5th March, 1937, served as Nigeria’s Head of State from 1976 to 1979 and later as a democratically elected President from 1999 to 2007 clocked 85 years on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
