Popular skit maker Cater Efe has become the first skit maker to top Apple Music Nigeria with his debut single ‘Machala’.
The hit track, which was released on Friday, went straight up to No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria in just two days.
The song is perceived by several afrobeat enthusiasts as an anthem in honour of superstar singer, Wizkid. Machala is presently trending and it has earned the highest number of streams for the week across all online streaming platforms in Nigeria.
Carter Efe, who is a member of Wizkid FC and a diehard fan of the grammy award-winning singer, Wizkid bragged about being the first comedian in Nigeria to hit such a milestone on his Instagram page.
He wrote: “First comedian to top music chart in Nigeria, if e easy do am.”
