The Federal Government has renewed its commitment towards enhancing the nation’s security framework to ensure Nigerians are safe wherever they are.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume stated this when a delegation from the Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Nigeria led by its President, Rev. Joel Stephen Billi paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.

Akume emphasizes efforts by the current administration to reinvigorate the Armed Forces to ensure peace and security in all parts of the country. This he says is already yielding positive results as some areas under the occupation of Boko Haram in the northern part of the country are being reclaimed by the Armed Forces.
The SGF also explains effort by the federal government to improve food security, as well as resuscitate every sector of the economy through people oriented economic policies. He also provided explanations on the tax reform Bill before the National Assembly.
He commended the Church in supplementing Government’s efforts in the area of education and health as well as promoting peaceful co-existence in the country and assures them of partnership with government in promoting development and peaceful co-existence.
