The Network Against Corruption and Trafficking Initiative(NACAT) has rejected the list of former governors the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) wishes to investigate.
NACAT, in a word press conference, in Abuja, wondered why the commission omitted a former Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade from the list of past governors it is currently probing.
NACAT asked Tinubu to consolidate on his renewed thrust for fiscal probity and accountable governance by compelling the EFCC to beam its searchlight on horrendous financial activities perpetuated by Ayade during his tenure as the state governor.
NACAT’s Executive Director of Investigation,Tega Oghenedoro commended the president for allowing an encouraging an environment for the anti-corruption fight to thrive.
Oghenedoro said the recent moves by anti-graft agencies to revive the fight againstcorruption and nepotism came as a surprise to many Nigerians.
