See this — Nigeria Exempted from the UK’s New Sanctions Targeting Petroleum Products Refined from Russian Crude Oil….details
Nigeria has currently been exempted from the United Kingdom’s new sanctions targeting petroleum products refined from Russian crude oil in third countries.
According to report, the UK introduced these measures on May 20th to close the “refining loophole” that previously allowed Russian-refined products to reach Western markets.

As one of 63 countries classified as net oil exporters, Nigeria faces significantly lighter proof-of-origin requirements for its exports to the UK.

From report, the British policy is said to be closely following the European Union’s approach and applies much stricter rules on major refining nations such as Turkey and India.
