Finally, President Bola Tinubu has lamented on the state of the economy of the nation he met on ground revealing that, he inherited serious liabilities and assets from his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
This was contained and disclosed in a statement issued by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale on Tuesday disclosed this during his meeting with the Vice-President (Country Programs) of the Islamic Development Bank, Mansur Muhtar, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
He however, promised not to complain despite the liabilities, Tinubu vowed not to give excuses but do all possible best to revive the economy while ensuring better number of investments comes in.
Hear him, “We inherited serious liabilities, but also assets from our predecessors. We do not make any excuses.
“There are several sectors replete with investment opportunities for smart investors.
“Access to finance and guarantees can be a hindrance in some cases. You can come in there. We see you as a critical enabler.
“You have partnered with us before. We want to scale it up now and do much more with greater ambition and clearer vision.”
