Keyamo made these remarks recently at a one-day stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos, where he shared his vision and plans for the aviation and aerospace industry.

He made it clear that his warning is based on the performance bond he signed with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who had demanded accountability and results from all the ministers during a three-day cabinet retreat in Abuja.

Hear him, “I signed my performance bond yesterday. So, if you don’t want me to get sacked in the next few months, you must support me.

“On this side, either I get sacked, or they get sacked. So, it is a race to who will survive. That’s what I have told all my CEOs: somebody must die first, but before I die, I will take you down,” he said.

However, the minister’s statement came in following the challenges facing the aviation and aerospace industry, the need for infrastructure development, the regulation of safety and security standards, and the promotion of innovation and competitiveness.

To this end, Keyamo affirmed his commitment to address the several challanges in the industry and transform the industry into a world-class one while urging the stakeholders to collaborate with him and his team to achieve this goal.
