Recently, the Benue Governor-elect, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia has revealed to the people of Benue the first thing he will do after his inauguration on May 29.
According to Rev. Fr. Alia, when speaking on Wednesday after receiving his Certificate of Return in Makurdi, the state capital and thanking the Benue people for giving him the opportunity to serve them, also revealed that the first thing he will do is to ensure the civil service work.
In a statement Alia maintained that, civil service remains the engine of every society, saying that he would ensure the civil service is functional very well before other things follows.
Hear him, “We are not taking the opportunity being given to us by the Benue people for granted.
“First of all, we will immediately get a drawing table to make our civil service work.
“Civil service is the engine of the society and it has to be functional before we move to every other thing. So that is going to be the number one thing on the desk”.
