Information has revealed that a renowned professor of history, Obaro Ikime, has been confirmed dead at the age of 87 years.
The professor was said to have died on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
It was noted that Ikime hails from Isoko South Local Govt Area of Delta State, also a fellow and former president of the Historical Society of Nigeria.
He however, was also a retired priest of the Anglican Communion and a former member of the University of Ibadan Governing Council and survived by his wife, sons and daughter.
