On friday, the members of the House of Representatives took a step further to have meet with High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.
The meeting is said have involved the Seven relevant oil and gas committees of the House of Representatives to met with Tompolo on Friday in Delta State.
The meeting gave opportunity to the lawmakers to see the vessels arrested by operatives of Tantita Security Services Limited, owned by Tompolo, which was given the contract to guide oil pipelines in the Niger Delta by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
The vessels were located in the Oporoza area of Delta State.
It was gathered that during the inspection, the lawmakers, led by Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Chairman, Upstream and Oil Theft, also used the opportunity to interact with Captain Warriedi Enisouh, Chief Operating Officer of Tantita Security Services Limited.
While interacting with the arrested crew members of MT Harbor Spirit before heading for the interaction with Tompolo.
And the committees involved in the meeting with Tompolo were Host Communities Committee, Niger Delta Committee, Gas Resources Committee, Environmental Committee, Petroleum Upstream Committee, Petroleum Mainstream Committee, Special Committee on Crude Oil Theft, and Petroleum Trust Committee.
