The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has dismissed claims that Enoch Adeboye, general overseer of the church, participated in a protest against the administration of then-President Goodluck Jonathan.
The clarification comes amid social media claims that Adeboye publicly protested during Jonathan’s presidency but has not spoken out against the economic challenges and persistent insecurity under the Bola Tinubu administration.
This was according to a statement on Tuesday, the church said the photograph being shared online was taken during a nationwide peace walk organised by churches, following a directive from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) during the Muhammadu Buhari tenure.
