President Narendra Modi of India has confirmed discussing productive partnerships with President Tinubu that will better the two Nations; Nigeria and India respectively.

In President Mordi’s statement, he said that there is immense scope for ties to flourish even further in sectors like defence, energy, technology, trade, health, education and more.

This discussions is said to aim at strengthen bilateral relations and explore new avenues for cooperation across multiple sectors:

Defence: This could involve military cooperation, joint exercises, technology sharing, or agreements on security to tackle mutual threats like terrorism or piracy.

Energy: With Nigeria being a major oil producer, discussions might focus on oil and gas sectors, including exploration, infrastructure development, and perhaps renewable energy initiatives.

Technology: There’s potential for collaboration in IT, digital infrastructure, fintech, or even AI and cybersecurity, areas where technology transfers or joint ventures could be beneficial.

Trade: Enhancing trade relations could mean negotiating trade agreements, reducing tariffs, or creating frameworks to increase bilateral trade volume.

Health: This might involve cooperation in pharmaceuticals, health technology, combating diseases, or sharing best practices in healthcare delivery systems.
