The newly inaugurated Senate President, Senator Godswil Akpabio has just met with Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Aso Villa in Abuja, shortly after his victory as the Senate President for the 10th National Assembly.
The former Governor of Akwa Ibom State won Senator Abdulaziz Yari, securing at least an impressive 63 votes to grab the position of Senate President and tasked with steering the affairs of the Red Chamber.
However, Senator Akpabio was accompanied by Senator Jibrin Barau, who emerged unopposed as Deputy Senate President, along with a group of esteemed Senators.
