The first Lady of Abia state, Mrs. Otti has attended the maiden edition of our August Women Delegates Conference (AWADEC) at the International Conference Center in Umuahia, Abia state.

She made a remark saying, “The experience was incredibly enriching, allowing me to engage positively with Abia Women from the 17 Local Government areas of our state.”

The event featured insightful lectures by accomplished daughters of our cherished state who have excelled in various fields.

In my address, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to the women of Abia State for their strong desire for a change in leadership.

“I also urged our women to embrace a proactive stance, daring to dream while upholding cherished moral values.”

Notably, three women lead ministries including agriculture, education, and health, with more in other sectors.  This is the first in the history of Abia State. It stands out as an encouragement to our women to dare to dream.

Further more, this underscores our commitment to women’s welfare. Dr. @alexottiofr ‘s unwavering belief in women’s leadership is grounded in the understanding that true power requires their active participation.

She said, “My profound gratitude goes to women who, despite challenges, uphold the legacy of our maternal ancestors, seeking to better our communities. Equally appreciated are our supportive husbands and fathers.”
