Team Ogun has made a remarkable impact at the 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State, with impressive performances and a growing medal tally. Starting strong with a historic first medal in Para Table Tennis, the team’s journey has been marked by significant achievements.

As of September 16th, Team Ogun has secured 5 Gold, 6 Silver, and 9 Bronze medals. Notably, in Shooting, they claimed 3 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze, with Onabiyi Atinuke Imoleayo setting a national record in the Female 10m Air Rifle event. Team Ogun’s shooters have been invited to the national team by the Nigeria Shooting Sports Federation (NSSF).

 

Other successes include a Silver medal in Golf and a Bronze in Scrabble, while Badminton players have advanced to the quarterfinals. The team’s achievements highlight @OGSG_Official’s commitment to youth sports development, backed by the support of Governor @DapoAbiodunCON’s administration.

 

With more events ahead, Team Ogun is poised to increase its medal count and continue making its mark on the national stage.
