The executive Governor of Bayelsa state, Douye Diri has received his colleague the executive Governor of River State, Sim Fubara as a new year reunion.

In a remarks Diri expressed, “I received my dear brother, the Governor of Rivers State, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, and his entourage today in my country-home, Sampou, on a New Year brotherly visit.

It was a fruitful meeting where we both agreed to collaborate on the development of Bayelsa and Rivers States.

“I reminded my colleague of the need to bring back the BRACED Commission to foster our regional integration in the South-South region.

“On the political issues in Rivers State, I encouraged my brother Governor to pursue peace and remain focus on his vision for the people of the State.

“I appreciate Governor Fubara for the New Year and brotherly visit to Bayelsa State. That is the spirit for the season; a season to share love and great wishes.”
