On Monday, July 28, 2025, the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), Hassan Abdalla, hosted a high-level delegation from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) led by Governor Olayemi Cardoso, during a strategic working visit to Cairo.
The visit provided an opportunity for both Central Banks to engage in constructive dialogue on regional financial cooperation and to deepen institutional collaboration between Nigeria and Egypt in support of broader economic development goals.
The CBN delegation included the Bank’s Deputy Governor (Operations), Dr. Bala Bello, as well as two Departmental Directors and a Special Adviser to the Governor.
