The Fix Aniocha North Movement—a non-governmental, non-political, and transparent civil society organization—has announced a total ban on political hyping and praise-singing of any politician of Aniocha North extraction by indigenes, citizens, and residents of the local government area.
This resolution was reached during an emergency general meeting of the Movement, convened in response to the alarming rise in insecurity across the area, the unchecked destruction of farmlands by herders, and the gross neglect of basic infrastructure, which has left the local government in a state of backwardness and abandonment since 1999 to date.

The meeting, which recorded a strong turnout from representatives of the 18 villages and communities in Aniocha North, expressed deep concern over the worsening decay, insecurity, and rising unemployment across the land.
It is on record that Aniocha North—though first in Delta State alphabetically—remains among the last in terms of development and the dividends of democracy. Despite producing a Deputy Governor, Senator, House of Representatives Member, Minister, Speaker, Majority Leaders, numerous Commissioners, Board Chairmen and Chairladies, the local government has nothing tangible to show.
Which ought to be a *Sugar Island* of progress has, instead, been reduced to a land of neglect and stagnation.
Speakers at the meeting bitterly decried the attitude of political aides, supporters, and followers who engage in needless praise-singing of failed and inactive politicians in exchange for crumbs, even at the expense of the people’s development, security, and prosperity.
In view of this, it was unanimously agreed that henceforth, no citizen or resident of Aniocha North should engage in political hyping or praise-singing of any politician from the area until further notice.
Together, We Can Fix Aniocha North.
