The governor of Osun state, Adeleke announced Mr. Alabi Kehinde Adeyemi as the new acting Rector of the institution.

This was contained in a statement on Monday signed by the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Education, Mr. Muritala Jimoh.

The statement however says, Dr. Odetayo was suspended following allegations of financial recklessness, corruption, misappropriation of funds and abuse of office.
