Ondo Former Deputy Governor Olanusi Loses Wife

Bejide, the wife of a former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Ali Olanusi, has passed away at the age of 77.

Olanusi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, was the deputy to the former Governor Olusegun Mimiko between 2009 and 2015. It was gathered that the deceased died on Tuesday in Akure, the state capital, during a brief illness.

She died ahead of her husband’s planned birthday celebration.

To this end, the Ondo State chapter of the APC has commiserated with the Olanusi’s family over the incident.

This was contained in a statement issued by the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Alex Kalejaiye.

The statement, “The state chairman of the party, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, described sad development as ill-timed, shocking and unfortunate. He said Alhaja was a strong pillar behind the husband’s political success story.

“The party chairman urged Baba Olanusi, the bereaved families, and entire Supare community in Akoko South West Local Government to take solace in that the departed lived a worthy and fulfilled life.”
