…confirms Monarch as a symbol of untainted service to humanity
The Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, has sent a heartfelt sympathy message to the family of the oldest Monarch in Delta State, while describing the late Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom in Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Ovie Richard Layieguen Ogbon, Ogoni Oghoro 1, as a symbol of untainted service to the people even as he Mourns his demise.
In a condolence message to the royal palace and the Olomu kingdom over the passing of the royal father reputed to be the oldest monarch in the world, the Deputy Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege who is also the governorship flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State expressed that HRM Ovie Richard Layieguen Ogbon dedicated his time on the throne to working for the development of the entire Delta state.
It is important to note that, the monarch joined his ancestors at 106 years, having ascended the throne at 70 and reigned for 35 years.
In a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Senate President, APC governorship candidate, Sunny Areh the stated that the late monarch did not just promote the development of his kingdom but the entire Urhobo nation and Delta State in general as the chairman of Urhobo Traditional Rulers Council otherwise known as Ukoko R’Ivie R’Urhobo.
