The king of Ewu kingdom, Clement Ikolo who is one of the eight persons declared wanted by the Nigerian Army in connection with the killing of 17 Army personnel in Okuama has turned himself in to the police in Delta state.

It was gathered that he was declared wanted alongside seven others by the military authorities in connection with the killing of 17 Nigerian Army personnel in Okuama Community.

 

But the monarch has arrived the state police command headquarters at exactly 6.41pm to report himself to police commissioner, Olufemi Abaniwonda.

 

While speaking to the journalists in his car explained that he is innocent though its left for him to defend his innocence.

 

Even at that, the military authorities on Thursday released pictures of 8 persons wanted in connection with the killing of its personnel in Okuama, Delta State as follows; President-General of Ewu Kingdom, Prof. Ekpekpo Arthur, Andaowei Dennis Bakriri, Akevwru Daniel Omotegbo (Aka Amagben), Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki; a traditional ruler, Clement Ikolo Oghenerukeywe; Reuben Baru, and Igoli Ebi.

 

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major- Gen. Edward Buba, who addressed journalists on Thursday in Abuja, urged Nigerians to assist the military with credible information that would lead to the arrest of the wanted persons.
