Business mogul Obi Cubana has shared updates on the ongoing development of the Cubana Millennium City project in Asaba, Delta State, describing it as a landmark, world-class urban development poised to redefine luxury living in the South South and South East regions.
The expansive mixed-use estate, often referred to as the “Banana Island of the South-South and South East,” is designed to feature upscale residential zones, commercial districts, smart infrastructure, green spaces, entertainment hubs, and secure communities. Situated on premium hilltop land, the project aims to function as a self-contained ecosystem for living, working, and leisure.
Obi Cubana recently showcased construction progress on social media, drawing attention to key developments including the grand city gate and ongoing site works. He reaffirmed his commitment to completing the project before the end of December 2026.
The initiative, which officially commenced in early December 2025 at locations including Witchtech Junction and Okpaman in Oshimili North Local Government Area, has received strong support from Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The governor described the project as a significant vote of confidence in Delta State’s investment climate, noting that it is expected to generate hundreds of jobs during construction and thousands more upon completion.
The development has generated growing interest among investors and prospective residents, further positioning Asaba as an emerging hub for premium real estate in southern Nigeria. Despite earlier community concerns over land-related issues, construction continues with sustained government backing.
Obi Cubana’s latest update underscores the rapid pace of development as the project moves steadily toward its 2026 completion target.
