PAMO is an activity of the African Mathematical Union Commission on Pan African Mathematics Olympiads (AMUPAMOC) created in 1986, ten years later, after the creation of African Mathematical Union (AMU) in Morocco in 1976.
The Pan African Mathematics Olympiad (PAMO) 2025, hosted in the beautiful nation of Botswana, officially began with great enthusiasm, witnessed the brilliance, passion, and unity of Africa’s finest young mathematicians.
With 23 countries represented, this year’s PAMO has been more than a competition, it’s been a platform for young minds to connect, challenge, and champion mathematics across the continent.
