
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has ordered the immediate deployment of additional personnel and resources to Rivers State. This move is aimed at strengthening security, safeguarding lives and property, and protecting critical infrastructure across the state.
A statement from the Force confirms that the operation is being carried out in collaboration with the Armed Forces and other security agencies. The police chief reassures citizens that while individuals have the right to seek legal redress, any unlawful gatherings, protests, or activities that threaten public peace will be met with the full force of the law.

Meanwhile, the Force says it remains committed to ensuring peace and stability.
