
The Nigeria Police Force is set to host the inaugural National Police Day on April 7, 2025, at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
The event is expected to feature series of humanitarian and community-focused activities, including medical outreaches, community engagements, and exhibitions by security agencies and partner organizations.

Francis Fom reports that the initiative aims to strengthen police-community relations and enhance public trust in law enforcement.
The event will also honour the fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. As preparations intensify, the IGP urges Nigerians to join in celebrating the gallant officers of the Nigeria Police Force and their invaluable contributions to national security.
The IGP also reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to professional excellence and public service.
The National Police Day which will be celebrated for the first time in Nigeria is focusing the resilience, dedication, and courage of the police personnel and inspire future generations to uphold the highest ideals of service and integrity.
