NNPC Limited, through its Research, Technology, and Innovation Division (NNPC RTI), is proud to host the 3rd Meeting of the APPO Forum for R&D Directors, bringing together Research and Development Directors from African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO) member countries.
Taking place from 20 to 23 April 2026 at PTDF Towers, Abuja, the meeting, themed “From Vision to Value: Accelerating Collaborative R&D and Innovation for a Sustainable African Energy Future,” is held in collaboration with the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF). It focuses on strengthening R&D collaboration across Africa’s petroleum sector.
The opening session will feature key addresses from the APPO Secretary General, H.E. Farid Ghezali; Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, PhD.; and the NNPC Ltd. GCEO, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari. The programme includes facility tours, visits to research institutions, plenary and working sessions on strategic R&D initiatives, and a Dinner and Cultural Night.
