Nigeria, through Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, earlier today in Saudi Arabia, called for a global economic reset during a panel session with Finance Ministers from key emerging market economies. He engaged global finance leaders at the Al Ula Conference for Emerging Market Economies on reshaping international trade, monetary systems, and macroeconomic policies amidst the profound transformation of the global economy.

The Minister championed a stronger voice for emerging markets in the global economic reset, while highlighting the growing strategic importance of Gulf nations in reshaping trade, investment, and capital flows. He emphasized that Nigeria remains committed to building stronger partnerships to advance a more equitable global financial architecture.
