Nigeria Governors’ Forum Holds End-Of-Year Meeting Wednesday, Reviews Activities

Governors of the 36 states have been invited to a meeting by the Director-General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Asishana Okauru.

The meeting which is expected to be held at the NGF Secretariat on Wednesday will be the 13th for the year and the 36th teleconference meeting of the governors since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Head, Media and Public Affairs, Nigeria Governors’ Forum Secretariat, Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

According to Okauru, participants will deliberate on the six core mandate areas of the forum, comprising agriculture, education, economy, security, health and infrastructure.

The DG said the governors could join the meeting by 1pm as the meeting is expected to commence at 2pm.

Being the last in 2021, the governors are expected to review their activities for the year and signpost where to pick up from when they resume in January 2022.
