….Abdullahi Abiya as acting chairman after Dungurawa’s removal
The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP has currently appointed Abdullahi Abiya as the party acting chairman, following the removal of Hashimu Dungurawa.
On Tuesday, Dungurawa, an ally of Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano and national leader of the NNPP, was removed for allegedly causing division within the party and instigating internal conflicts, among other offences.
However, Abiya, the new chairman, was appointed during the NNPP state executive committee (SEC) emergency meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Kano.
