NEWS Beep: FERMA AND XCMG SIGN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO UPGRADE ROAD MAINTENANCE AND BUILD LOCAL SKILLS

The Federal Government of Nigeria has entered a strategic partnership with leading Chinese equipment manufacturer XCMG to modernise road maintenance and advance youth empowerment initiatives across the country.

The Honourable Minister of State for Works, Barr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, and Managing Director of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Engr. Emeka Agbasi led discussions with XCMG executives at the company’s headquarters in Xuzhou, China, focusing on strengthening FERMA’s operational capacity and developing local expertise in road engineering and maintenance.

The collaboration forms part of the government’s broader commitment to upgrading national infrastructure through innovation, technology transfer, and capacity building.
