The Nigerian Education Loan Fund has disbursed a total of ₦1.3 billion in student loans to 17,599 beneficiaries of Ahmadu Bello University for the 2026 academic year.
According to the fund, the payments were made in three tranches. The first, released on February 13, covered 7,570 students, while a second tranche on the same day supported 7,572 students. A final tranche, disbursed on February 18, reached 2,457 students.
NELFUND said the disbursement reflects its commitment to expanding access to higher education through timely financial support.
The Students’ Loan Programme is designed to ease the financial burden on students and promote wider educational inclusion across the country.
