In a statement sign by the Chairman of the NDYCN, Comrade Omoniyi U. Freedom, the group urge the federal Government to abide by the act of establishment of the NDDC.

He said, the purpose of establishment of the commission has been defected by the Buhari led Administration and adviced the federal government to constitute the board before the 21 days ultimatum or face the full wrath of the youths of the Niger Delta Region.

Omoniyi maintained that it will not be business as usual, remarking that all the council are demanding for is the full implementation of the act of establishment of the NDDC and inaugurate a substantive board for the commission.

He further said all NDDC projects in the region have being abandoned due to misappropriation of funds and inadequate management by the so called sole administrator.

He called on the minister of Niger Delta Affairs Senator Godswill Akpabio and the federal government to do the needful before it will be too late, insisting “we are 100% ready to shot down the commission if our demands are not meant within 21 days”.
