Following the completion of extensive renovation works undertaken by the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) at Ndubuisi Kanu Park, Alausa, Ikeja, the Agency has announced its readiness to reopen the park to the public very soon.
According to the General Manager of LASPARK, Mrs. Adetoun Popoola, the renovation project has reached its final stages, with only polishing, planting, and fine-tuning of details left to ensure that visitors enjoy an exceptional and memorable recreational experience.

Mrs. Popoola disclosed this during a private family fun fair recently hosted at the park, where guests were given a firsthand experience of the upgraded facilities and serene atmosphere.
She explained that the exclusive event served as a test run for the newly improved park, allowing select members of the community to explore and provide feedback on the facilities before the official reopening.
Expressing satisfaction with the positive responses received, Mrs. Popoola noted that visitors were thrilled by the park’s enhanced features and looked forward to its official reopening.
Amongst facilities that can be explored by park users are a range of indoor and outdoor activities.
The LASPARK General Manager encouraged members of the public to anticipate the grand reopening of Ndubuisi Kanu Park, assuring them of a refreshed, exciting, and improved recreational experience.
Named after Rear Admiral (Rtd.) Ndubuisi Godwin Kanu, a former Military Administrator of Lagos State (1977–1978), the park remains one of the most popular recreational destinations managed by LASPARK, attracting visitors throughout the week, especially on weekends.
Ndubuisi Kanu Park had been closed for over a year to allow for comprehensive renovation works aimed at enhancing its aesthetics, upgrading its facilities, and delivering a renewed and worthwhile experience for all visitors.
