Come ๐‰๐ฎ๐ง๐ž 16๐ญ๐ก, 2025, Ndokwa youths are expected to riseโ€”not in violence, but in conscious, organized resistance. Why?

Ndokwa is home to the largest natural gas deposit in Nigeria. The ๐€๐†๐ˆ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐Ž๐ค๐ฉ๐š๐ข, Ndokwa East, supplies electricity to ๐€๐ฌ๐จ ๐‘๐จ๐œ๐ค, yet the same land lies in eternal blackout. This isnโ€™t just an ironyโ€”itโ€™s a national disgrace. And itโ€™s not just darkness of light, itโ€™s darkness of justice, of equity, of development.

They say Delta State is safe? Who are they deceiving?

Were Abraka and Ughelli North recent protests a mirage? What about the security infrastructure they never built? The police they never funded?

Now, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, ๐‡๐ข๐ฌ ๐„๐ฑ๐œ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ฒ ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐๐š๐ฒ ๐Ž๐ง๐ฒ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž, claims those planning this protest are not indigenes.

Sir, with due respect, that is a lie.

When your people are angry, donโ€™t gaslight themโ€”listen to them.

The elders are tired. The silence has become betrayal. This region has no federal university, no state higher institution, no visible dividends of democracyโ€”yet it remains a critical contributor to Nigeriaโ€™s oil and gas wealth.

How long will we feed the nation and starve ourselves?

The deputy governor claims ๐๐๐จ๐ค๐ฐ๐š has been โ€œmore favouredโ€ than others.

With what evidence?

Is favour measured in personal appointments or in community development?

Was it favour when you held the Chairmanship of the Internal Revenue Board for 8 years, yet your people remained in poverty?

Delta State has no opposition because the ๐๐ƒ๐ and ๐€๐๐‚ have merged into a Frankenstein of failure. The ๐ˆ๐๐€๐‚ opposition is a paid puppet. The money meant for party development is laundered into personal accounts, killing whatever is left of democracy.

This isnโ€™t about violence.

This isnโ€™t about party politics.

This is about young Nigerians refusing to die in silence.

So even if you eventually decide not to protest, let this be your protest:

Organize. Mobilize. Speak. Register to vote. Educate your peers.

Let them know we are watchingโ€”and we are coming.
