Leicester City will be without Wilfred Ndidi for a few weeks, manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed.
The Nigeria international was substituted at half-time during Leicester City’s 4-0 drubbing of Nottingham Forest at the King Power Stadium on Monday.
Rodgers explained that Ndidi sustained a hamstring injury in the game and will be sidelined for a while.
The defensive midfielder is not expected to be available for the Foxes trip to the Vitality Stadium this weekend.
“Wilfred Ndidi will probably be out for a little bit,” Rodgers told a press conference on Thursday.
“He came back from international duty with a hamstring strain. He recovered well but he felt it at half-time in the game and he was a little sore, so he might miss a few weeks.”
Ndidi has struggled with injuries in recent times. He missed the latter part of last season with a knee problem.
