The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, is aware that certain individuals are spreading false information about the Youth Internship Scheme. We are aware of the attempts by the scammers to extort money from unsuspecting youths, by asking for acceptance fee from them.
We would like to clarify that the selection criteria for the 10,000 beneficiaries chosen from over 2 million candidates who applied through the official database before the portal closed on August 31, 2024, was transparent.
The selection process is meticulously designed and takes into account:
1. Each candidate’s unique competencies,
2. Their state and local government of origin,
3. The specific skills they possess.
