The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has released the list of Electoral Committee Members tasked with conducting primaries for State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship, and Presidential elections across all states in Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The committees are structured by geopolitical zones.
South-East Zone:
In Abia State, Chief Asukewe Ikoawaji will serve as Chairman, supported by members including Chief Sir Innocent Nwadavid and Hon. Udeme Eshiet, with Barr. C. J. Okoli Akarika as Secretary.
Anambra State committee is chaired by Prof. Osita Ogbu, with Engr. Uchenna Okogbuo, Nonso Okpala, Barr. Chukwudi Igwe, and Miss Hanatu Tanko as members.
Ebonyi State committee is led by Dr. Peter Onigah, while Enugu State is chaired by Chief Teddy Obey. Imo State committee is chaired by Comrade Babatunde Ali.
South-South Zone:
Akwa Ibom State committee is chaired by Dr. Clement Agiangie, while Bayelsa State is led by Engr. Biokpo Awara. Cross River State committee is headed by Iliya Kwajafa.
Delta State is chaired by Dr. Kabiru Umoru, Edo State by Barr. Fredrick Owotorufa, and Rivers State by Dr. Osusu Osusu.
South-West Zone:
Ekiti State committee is chaired by Akinlade Olagoke. Lagos State committee is led by Alhaji Sidi Abdul Bomi with multiple members including Dr. Adewale Adebayo and Amb. Christopher Ighodaro.
Ogun, Ondo, Osun, and Oyo States also have constituted committees led by designated chairpersons and secretaries.
North Central Zone:
Benue State committee is chaired by Jenkins Gwede, while Kogi State is led by CP Ezebuike Peter (Rtd).
Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau States, and the FCT all have constituted electoral committees with appointed chairpersons and secretaries.
North East Zone:
Adamawa State committee is chaired by Williams Lappi. Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe States also have appointed committees led by designated officials.
North West Zone:
Jigawa State committee is chaired by Tasiu Safiyanu Liman. Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara States also have constituted electoral committees overseeing primaries.
