The Nigerian Correctional Service has launched a manhunt after heavy rainfall damaged the perimeter wall of the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Ilesa, Osun State, leading to the escape of seven inmates around 2 a.m. this Tuesday.

A statement from the Service indicates that the Controller General, Sylvester Nwakuche, has ordered an investigation, while security agencies and community leaders are working together to recapture the escapees.
