NAWOJ Rivers State Chapter Disassociates from Chairperson’s Statement against Rivers State Government.
The Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Rivers State Chapter, wishes to clarify and unequivocally disassociate itself from the recent statement made by our Chairperson, Mrs. Susan Serekara-Nwikhana, regarding the State Commissioner for Information and the State Government as a whole.
It is important to stress that Mrs. Serekara-Nwikhana was speaking solely in her personal capacity and not on behalf of NAWOJ Rivers State Chapter. Her statement does not reflect the official position, values, or principles of our association. As an organization, we remain committed to maintaining professionalism, integrity, and impartiality in all our engagements with the government and every organization.
NAWOJ Rivers State Chapter will, in accordance with its constitution, address this matter internally and take the necessary steps as deemed appropriate. We assure the public that we hold our members to the highest standards of conduct.
We urge everyone to disregard the statement as it does not represent the collective voice of NAWOJ Rivers State Chapter.
