Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam has commended the examplery conduct of Ndị Anambra, particularly the youths in promoting national peace during the ongoing nationwide protest.
The commendation was made in a statement issued today, Friday, August 2, 2024, by the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga.
The commissioner also reiterated the command’s unwavering commitment to enhancing public security and safety.
According to the statement, the police, in collaboration with other security agencies, have re-strategized their security patrols and surveillance operations across the state with the aim of preventing crime and ensuring that law-abiding citizens can carry out their lawful activities without harassment.
While urging the public to remain vigilant, law-abiding and to report any criminal activities or breaches of public peace to the nearest police station, the commissioner released the command’s emergency hotlines:112, 07039194332, and 08039334002 for immediate assistance.
