The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, has said the National Business and Technical Examinations Board General Certificate of Education Advanced Level results for 2015 to 2021 are valid.
Adamu noted that the results are not only valid but also usable for admission to tertiary institutions.
This information was contained in the JAMBulletin, the official bulletin of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Vol. 3, No. 7, dated December 19, 2022, where JAMB reminded all institutions that the results are valid and usable for admission.
With the approval, according to the information titled, “NABTEB GCE A’Level Results from 2015–2021 Acceptable to JAMB,” candidates who had used the NABTEB GCE A’Level results from 2015–2021 to secure admission to higher institutions of learning are to continue with their studies as the certificates issued are valid.
The JAMB stated that the reminder is for the guidance of the relevant institutions and that a comprehensive list of such candidates is available for free verification with the Board.
“This is to remind all institutions that while stopping the conduct of the NABTEB GCE A level in 2021, the Honourable Minister of Education, Alhaji Adamu Adamu, has determined that NABTEB GCE A’Level results from 2015–2021 are valid and usable for admission into tertiary institutions.
“With the approval, candidates who used the NABTEB GCE A level result (2015-2021) to gain admission into a higher institution can continue with their studies because the certificate issued from 2015-2021 is valid,” the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Registrar’s Office at NABTEB, Olugbenga Ojogbede, has urged all stakeholders, particularly NABTEB GCE A’Level certificate holders, to take advantage of this window of opportunity to make good use of their certificates.
Ojogbede expressed NABTEB’s appreciation to the Minister of Education for his approval of the validity and acceptability of the certificates, as well as to the Registrar/Chief Executive, JAMB, Professor Is-haq Oloyede for his unwavering support and cooperation in the continued quest for the expansion of the frontiers of Technical and Vocational Education in the country.
