Kemi Olunloyo, the bankrolled blackmailer glorified as popular Nigerian investigative journalist deserves prosecution for libel and slander against the soul of brutally murdered Sylvester Oromoni Jr.
Kemi’s utterances, most likely induced by gratification by interested parties who want to make excuses for the bullies, tried to exonerate the killers of Oromoni Jr. Kemi never condemned the barbaric crime.
I had thought that recent honest parental and school management advice I provided over the avoidable painful murder of 12 year old Sylvester Oromoni Jr in a Lagos private school would be the last I had to say over the unfortunate incident.
After listening to the inciting and malicious utterances of one unguarded Kemi Olunloyo in the name of investigative journalism, I realised how much more I still have to say on the matter.
Let me first call out unguarded Kemi Olunloyo. I know a finger count of some outstanding Nigerians we can ascribe the status, “investigative journalist” as a matter of merit. And contrary to her glorification as a popular Nigerian investigative journalist by some bloggers who gave prominence to Kemi’s unguarded utterance over Syvester Oromoni Jr, her name doesn’t ring any bell, can never be listed among the few investigative journalists I know.
I do not know by what criteria the blogger so rated her, but if for any reason she’s popular as a journalist, it must be for all wrong reasons, including the vomit she just poured on an innocent school boy who should be home joining the rest of his siblings to celebrate Xmas with his now grieving parents.
Kemi, you are a woman, but I doubt if you are a mother in the real sense of the word. What really are you trying to prove with your armchair investigation on Oromoni Jr’s death? A 12 year old was murdered by school bullies in the name of trying to initiate him into a cult. School management comes up with an unforgivable lie that he died from injuries sustained in a football game.
The dying child was able to tell his parents he was dying from molestation by fellow students forcing him to belong to their cult. Then you come, Kemi, claiming to have inside knowledge. In your so called exclusive claims you have not disclaimed anything Oromoni Jr told his parents in his dying bed.
Kemi, you agreed the boy was dehumanized, brutalised, including forcing engine oil through his throat. You agreed Jr died as a result of all these. These were what the public already knew. The only bit your exclusive investigation added was the annoying allegation against a dead boy that he consented to being brutalised because he was eager to be a member of a gang of killer teenagers.
Kemi, what is the source of your so called important revelation? You want the public to believe some anonymous insiders more than the dead boy who narrated his ordeal?
Kemi Olunloyo, of what benefit is your malicious investigation? Assuming without conceding that Jr consented to being beaten to belong to a cult, does it justify his killing? Does it make it right? Does it exonerate the killers? Did Oromoni Jr ask to be killed? Madam investigator, I’m asking you.
Kemi, I put it to you that you were bankrolled to utter this rubbish about Jr; that you have no insider’s knowledge of any worth over this matter. Any insider who fed you such crap must either be a ghost insider you fabricated or they must be accomplices in the killing of Jr.
Mind you, all the students are minors in Dowen. They don’t yet possess all the wisdom to make the best decisions, reason they’re called children. That’s why they need parental and school management guidance which Dowen lacked.
There is a boarding school called Oxbridge. To manage the institution, they have house teachers. Then they have have a mother figure on every floor of the boarding house. They call her Mama. Every time parents visit, you see the Mama, truly playing the surrogate mother.
Then in the Male Dormitory, the House masters are on ground enforcing discipline and ensuring nothing unwelcoming goes on unnoticed. Kemi, my Sister we should fear God. You cannot talk the way you’ve spread on social media about the dead, a helpless soul as Jr for that matter.
To parents, let me warn again, make your children your friends in a manner that give them the confidence to open up to you and not depend on peers when they need answers to issues troubling them. Make them able to differentiate wrong from right, evil from good.
Because there was no parent or guardian to come to the aide of Oromoni Jr, he took decisions on his own. Even the bullies who killed him don’t know their right from wrong.
Remember, Kemi, it is between you and God if you meant well. He knows if you have malicious intentions against the dead child. Karma can be such a drastic judge of justice. I’m so disappointed in you over this matter.
TO STRONG-WILLED SYLVESTER OROMONI JR
Sylvester, you died a star, a hero who paid the harsh price to wake us parents to our failures in our responsibilities to our children.
It’s so unfortunate society could not defend you. So sorry it had to be you. Your parents could not protect you; but through this painful ordeal, your legacy will stay everlasting.
I’m already recommending that when Nigeria remembers her next heroes in the annual national merit award, you must be the first to be listed in the posthumous award. You are a shining star.
Live great star. Live on Sylvester Oromoni Jr.
