MOPPAN HONOURS COMMISSIONER JAFARU, PERM. SEC., DANLADI; OPTIMISTIC OF GOVERNOR SULE’S VICTORY AT SUPREME COURT.
The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Jafaru Ango, on Wednesday, was presented with souvenir kits by the Motion Pictures Practitioners’ Association of Nigeria, MOPPAN, Nasarawa State Chapter.
The recognition was for his sterling feats at the Ministry and unwavering support to the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule since his appointment and subsequent assumption in Office late last year.
The Commissioner who appreciated members of MOPPAN for finding him worthy for the recognition described it as breathtaking and would spur him to do more for the Sule-led administration.
He noted that anyone or organisation that identifies with the Sule-led administration equally identifies with him and the Ministry, and would stop at nothing to render necessary supports to such individual or organisation to succeed.
Jafaru, who was accompanied by his counterpart from the State’s Ministry of Lands and Urban Development, Hon. Bala Mulki, disclosed that he was aware of the numerous promotional activities of MOPPAN in enlightening the world about the activities of Governor Abdullahi Sule and urged them to sustain the tempo as the administration would support the Association and its members to meet their set goals.
The Association also recognised the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, for bringing tremendous innovations and creativity to the Organisation thereby repositioning it to meet its mandate and acceptable standard.
The recognitions took place at the Lafia City Stadium prior to a novelty football match between MOPPAN versus the Nasarawa State Musicians and Studio Owners’ Association, which would later end 2-2 apiece.
According to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Yarwa Multi-Media Enterprise, Yarwa Usman Ahmad, the decision to host the novelty football match was to prepare the ground for the celebration of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s victory after the final verdict of the Governorship Election case at the Supreme Court in Abuja slated for Friday, 19th January, 2024.
He added that the event was also to celebrate his recent appointment as Chairman of MOPPAN, Nasarawa State Chapter, following the resignation of the Association’s former Chairman, Alh. Abdullahi Amwe in the quarter of 2023.
Until his appointment, Yarwa was the Secretary-general of the Association.
He is to serve for a tenure of three years.
MOPPAN uses visual and still photos to inform, educate and entertain the audience about societal issues and recommend ways to proffer solutions for a better and egalitarian society.
