Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, minister of interior, has ordered the probe of some officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) over alleged misconduct.
On December 12, Moyo Okediji, a professor of African art from the University of Texas, Austin, United States, took to his Facebook page to recount how he was “extorted and robbed” of over $500 at Seme border when he arrived Nigeria through Ghana.
Okediji said some @nigimmigration personnel stopped him for a search and asked him to “settle” them with $40 for travelling with an expired Nigerian passport.
