The Minister of Works, Engineer David Umahi, has revealed that the Federal Government needs ₦3 trillion to finish the road projects initiated under the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) tax credit scheme.
During a press briefing held at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, Umahi revealed.

He said that President Bola Tinubu has instructed the ministry to seek other funding avenues after the NNPCL discontinued financial support starting August 1, to guarantee that all projects continue without interruption.
He said, “Our President is a man with a large heart. Despite the funding stoppage by NNPCL, Mr. President, as Chairman of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), directed that alternative funding mechanisms be put in place to ensure completion of all projects.”
