Mastercard has today Friday announced its strategic collaboration agreement with SafaricomPLC to accelerate payment acceptance and cross-border remittance services in Kenya.
This collaboration it explained will benefit over 636,000 merchants using M-PESA.
In its remark it said, “Together with Safaricom, Mastercard is building a more inclusive digital economy that works for everyone, everywhere. This collaboration will enable merchants to grow, contributing to the Kenyan economy and expanding opportunities across the region.
“Mastercard’s collaboration with Safaricom highlights our shared commitment to driving innovation and financial inclusion within Kenya’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.”
